When Jason Stooks is not focused on his County Commissioner duties, he enjoys spending time with his wife & daughter and being involved in the local community. As Deputy Program Manager for Latah County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Jason volunteers to organize the coordination of emergency preparedness practice exercises and delivers tailored training in emergency services and preparedness skills for the CERT members and community.

As a local small business owner, he provides a variety of event services and preparedness trainings consulting across industries. His career and educational achievements include a degree at the University of Idaho in Criminology with an emphasis in Emergency Management, certification as a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, and completion of professional development training hours growing his knowledge and skills in disaster response, safety preparedness, and emergency medical care.
