John Bohman currently operates his family farm along side his brother and nephews. John’s grandfather immigrated to the United States in the early 1900s and purchased the family farm in the Troy area in 1917.

John and his wife Alison live on Little Bear Ridge with their two children Halee and Brett. Halee is currently enrolled at the University of Idaho and Brett attends Troy Jr-Sr High School. John and Alison value spending their time enjoying the outdoor spaces of eastern Latah County and volunteering for community events. John has been a volunteer with the Troy Fire Department since 1999 and currently serves as the department’s chief.

John attended the Troy public schools and graduated in 1986 from Troy High School. He enrolled at the University of Idaho in the fall of 1986 and graduated in 1991 with a degree in Agricultural Systems Management and a degree in Agribusiness.

John Bohman was elected to the Latah County Board of Commissioner, District 3 in November 2022.
