With the cooperation and supervision of the County Commissioners the Department of Disaster Services is responsible for
the development, maintenance and implementation of the Latah County Emergency Operations Plan. This department is also responsible
for the coordination of response to emergencies/disasters whether natural, manmade, technological or war related. The department
coordinates the efforts of the Local Emergency Planning Committee in accomplishing these goals; as well as providing emergency
preparedness information and training for individuals, families, industry, local government officials and first-responders.
